When I first met Glenn and Ross I thought that my multi-disciplinary health practice was doing ok, I just wanted to do it better. Well, what an education. My nose was pushed so hard up against the wall I didn’t realise that I wasn’t being a leader in my business, instead I was so busy being nice to everyone that the clinic was never going to go anywhere. Hi Ross, Just letting you know how much I’m enjoying the seminar. Not only do you have some wonderful tips on public speaking but you have shown us how these tools are beneficial in every day situations when dealing with people, whether it’s a client, work colleague, friend, family member, business associate or employer – well anyone really. As a former Customer Service Representative for Westpac Banking Corporation (11 years) I would have loved to have had this knowledge back then. I can guarantee that anyone who works directly with customers on a daily basis would benefit tremendously from something like this. It makes you stop and really think of how you handle certain situations and how you could have handled them differently. It’s the difference of being successful and exceeding at your job or just meeting the standard requirements. Even though I used to break out into a sweat whenever I had to talk to a group of people, when it came to a one on one with my customer I was very successful and exceeded all my targets even getting the “Best Of The Best” award in 2006. This was because thinking back, I actually did what you talk about in these sessions. I researched and got familiar with the products even though that wasn’t my job – I was a teller I had to handle customers’ basic banking needs but how was I supposed to identify customers’ needs if I didn’t fully understand the different products and services available to a customer. I never just flogged a product. I made sure there was a need and then it was all in the way I spoke to the customer about it. You need to establish trust otherwise forget it. These sessions actually make a person see and understand this and make us realize what does and doesn’t work and why. I am putting this into practice not only at work but also with my direct selling jewellery business. I can honestly say it really works, people want to listen to you and I have much higher sales with more bookings for my shows than ever. I now do speak to a room full of women without feeling sick and I’m much more confident and relaxed and they really do listen to what I’m saying. Thanks. The following Feedback was provided after a speech by Ross Mitchell in October 2006 I was heading in all sorts of directions until Ross spoke about your life vision. At this point I realised this is what I needed to get me back on track and focused on my investing goals. Thanks Ross for a brilliant presentation. Thanks Ross I was very impressed and could relate to you and how you think big. I have business and product ideas I have no doubt will make me millions and like yourself I visualise this and know it will happen and it will happen before my 30th birthday (5 years). One of my business partners is a business coach and recently completed the Masters Entrepreneurship, his built up and sold off many successful businesses so I know what you say to be true. All the best with your ventures, sure I'll bump into you again at some stage Ross is extremely passionate about business success, & his presentation benefits from this. If Ross cannot inspire & guide you to drive your business well beyond its current standing then you may want to reconsider owning a business What I learnt from the presentation was that Business Plans can be used in your life in many ways. I have learnt that by applying these Business Plans you can then show the passion and the vision and use the plans to commit to them and if you review the plans on a regular basis you can ensure that you remain consistent The pride of lions analogy where "finding your zebra" worked best for me. The information and presentation skill by Ross was very well done and was only sorry that it ended.
